A College of Southern Nevada student film featuring Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area brought new attention to the work of BLM rangers and to the spirit of partnership that defines public land management.

As thousands of visitors from across the country gathered for the 130th Cheyenne Frontier Days, the Bureau of Land Management joined the Department of the Interior in celebrating its Day of the American West on July 23, connecting the public with America's public lands, western heritage and the Bureau's multiple-use mission during the nation's largest outdoor rodeo and Western celebration.

Early this June, IWJV coordinated a workshop in Thermopolis, Wyoming, to explore post-wildfire rehabilitation, emergency response and coordination efforts between federal agencies, state partners, and private landowners.

Reliable water can be hard to come by for wildlife in the BLM Wyoming Buffalo FO so staff have worked with partners on improvements from well plugging to trail maintenance and – most recently – wildlife guzzlers.

Across the Eastern States region of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), four nationally significant trails—each rich in culture, ecology, and history—invite visitors to walk, ride, or paddle through landscapes that have shaped America’s identity.
