BLM Oil and Gas Lease Sale in Utah Generates Nearly $4.5 Million in Revenue

The Bureau of Land Management leased 35 parcels totaling 34,596 acres in Utah for $4,492,000 in total receipts during a quarterly oil and gas lease sale. Combined lease bonus bids and rentals are distributed between the federal government and state where parcels are located.

The BLM today announced an oil and gas lease sale scheduled for September 22, 2026, to offer 35 oil and gas parcels totaling 34,596 acres in Utah.

BLM approves 15 kV transmission line for Goblin Valley State Park

The BLM approved a 15 kilovolt, 17-mile power line for Goblin Valley State Park to replace generators. Emery Telcom will also add fiber-optic cables, bringing high-speed internet to park staff and visitors.

BLM approves updated Northern Corridor highway plan

The Bureau of Land Management today approved construction of the Northern Corridor highway in Washington County. In 2018, the Utah Department of Transportation applied for a right-of-way for a four-lane highway north of St. George to help ease traffic congestion in the area.
