BLM Rescinds Fire Prevention Order for Public Lands within BLM Burns District Sept. 24, 2026

Hines, Ore.—The Bureau of Land Management has rescinded restrictions and prohibitions on specific activities and equipment to mitigate the risk of human-caused fires on lands administered by the BLM Burns District, Oregon. 

The signed recission notice is available online at the Oregon/Washington Fire Closures & Restrictions page.

This rescission is effective at 12:01 a.m. PDT on September 25, 2026. The recission applies to all public lands (both State and Federal) within the BLM Burns District.
